Step 1: Sign Up

1. Visit the official Kraken website.
2. Click the Create Account button.
3. Enter the following information:
   • Email address
   • Username
   • Password
4. Agree to the terms of service and click Create Account.

Step 2: Verify Your Email

1. Check your email for a verification message.
2. Click the link inside the email to verify your account.

Step 3: Secure Your Account

1. Kraken requires setting up 2-factor authentication (2FA).
   • Use an authentication app like Google Authenticator to secure your account.

Step 4: Verify Your Identity (KYC Process)

1. To increase your account limits and deposit/withdraw fiat currencies, identity verification is required.
2. From your Kraken dashboard, go to Get Verified and choose the level of verification:
   • Starter
   • Intermediate
   • Pro
3. Provide personal information such as:
   • Full name
   • Date of birth
   • Address
4. Upload a government-issued ID and proof of residence (e.g., utility bill).

Step 5: Deposit Funds

1. Go to Funding in your account dashboard.
2. Select Deposit, choose your currency, and pick a method:
   • Bank transfer (SEPA, wire transfer)
   • Credit/debit card (availability varies)
3. Follow the instructions to complete the deposit.

Step 6: Purchase Bitcoin

1. Once your account is funded, go to the Trade section.
2. Select Bitcoin (BTC) from the available currencies.
3. Choose Buy BTC and enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to purchase.
4. Confirm the purchase, and your Bitcoin will be available in your wallet.
